Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG that respects your time while still giving you a proper story to sink into. You recruit a party of oddballs, each with their own quirks, and slowly untangle why the sky keeps raining ash over the kingdom.

Combat is turn-based and readable. Positioning matters, elemental weaknesses matter, and I appreciated that even random encounters could go wrong if I got lazy. The gear system is deep without drowning you in menus.

The writing carried me further than I expected. There's real warmth in the character banter, and a couple of the mid-game twists genuinely surprised me. It runs smoothly on older phones too, which is more than I can say for a lot of games in this genre.
